Your quick and easy-to-read guide to moving, the top tips to packing
1. Thinking outside the (cardboard) box
When packing items, put dense, heavy items (like books) into smaller boxes and stack them at the bottom.

Save the larger boxes for lighter and larger things like your cosy duvets and fluffy pillows. For heavy-duty items it's good to mix them together so that the sturdy items are provided with cushioning.

Don’t forget hard-shelled suitcases are a perfect alternative to boxes to pack in!

2. Don't have bubble wrap?
It's essential that fragile items are cushioned to avoid breaking. Bubble wrap is ideal but fear not if you don't have any, a great alternative to wrap fragile items in is with clothing, duvets, pillows or any other soft items. That way your items are kept safe and unbroken.
Never wrap fragile items in plastic bags! They are prone to damage.

3. Small items
A plethora of small items such as cosmetics, jewellery, stationary, cutlery and any other small items are best kept in plastic containers like Tupperware boxes. These are perfect to fit into contain small items as they fit easily making them compact. That way they won't be crushed.

4. Taping time-saver
Don't waste time on cutting up tape with scissors, that will take up unnecessary time! Instead, it's more practical to use teeth as it's faster and they don't need to be cut perfectly.

Alternatively, if you don't want to use teeth you can use a specialised tape gun to make cutting and taping boxes easier.

5. Label to identify
Label your boxes with a marker to easily identify their contents when unpacking. By knowing what's inside each box, you can stay organized and quickly find a place for everything. Sort boxes by category or room, and make sure to have one specifically for important documents.

Don't forget to use fragile tape or write fragile for fragile items!
